Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day in Canada. Even though I’m far away, I made time to connect with loved ones and pause and reflect on all I have to be thankful for, including the hard times because within each was a gift.

It’s often only in hindsight that we see we were being challenged in order to grow and how the situation was for our benefit so we could up-level. Like a snake shedding its skin, we need to let go of the old version of ourselves in order to expand into who we want to be.

As I travel through Wales, in this place of immense natural beauty, I’m reminded of this Love Note From Your Soul:

“It’s often the simple pleasures that bring great joy.

Count how many simple pleasures come your way today, i.e.: the smell of your morning coffee, the laugh of a child, a beautiful flower, a stranger’s smile…

Let each simple pleasure lighten your load and fill your heart.

Love,
your Soul”

Here’s a simple pleasure that made me literary stop and smile:

A practice of gratitude and thankfulness helps you come into the present moment and appreciate the blessings that are always around you.

I invite you to pause for a moment and silently list at least 5 people and/or things you’re thankful for right now.

Why not make this a daily practice?

Living in a state of gratitude helps you love the life you’re already living.

Gratitude connects you with your heart and aligns you with what’s important to you so you can consciously create a life where you have more to be thankful for.

Wishing you a day and week of thanksgiving no matter where you live.

By the way, I’m extremely thankful for you!
