I’m on a train heading from Geneva to Milan, passing through scenic valleys surrounded by snow-capped mountains streaked with waterfalls that feed clear blue lakes, the edges of which are dotted with pretty little towns and villages. We pass terraced vineyards that take advantage of sunny slopes; the long rows of retaining walls made of neatly stacked stones display both the practicality and precision one comes to expect of the Swiss. The valley floor widens, and we pass small family farms, some with a few cows, goats, or donkeys. Lemon-yellow fields dense with canola periodically appear and glide past, sparking delight and awe at the beauty of nature. Small villages with prominent bell towers, homes with backyards staked with vegetable plots, large outdoor dining tables, and windowsills lined with freshly cleaned laundry flapping in the wind as if waving greetings to passersby tell me we’ve crossed into Italy. And just like that, I’ve left one country I adore and have entered another.

While I love so much about Switzerland, I’m excited to now be in Italy. The thought of eating pasta, pizza, and gelato made as only Italians can already has me salivating.

I look back on these past three and a half years since choosing a nomadic life, and the few years before that (pre-Covid) when I had made travel a priority, and I can’t believe all the places I’ve seen and bucket list cities and activities I’ve checked off. I’ve often sat soaking in a view or an experience and thought, I love my life!

…but it wasn’t always this way.

I remember, not so long ago, when this life seemed impossible, out of reach, forever destined to remain a dream. And I’m so grateful I found the teachers and guides who helped me do the inner work that allowed me to let go of all those limiting beliefs (and many others) so I could understand I have the freedom to live as I choose — and YOU do, too.

You have FAR more power over your life than you realize.

Yet, if you’re like most people, you want approval and support from others before attempting something new or different, especially if it feels at all risky or out of the norm (your norm). And still, you hold yourself back, am I right?

“If you are moved by it, you don’t need it explained to you. If not, no explanation can make you moved by it.”
~ Federico Fellini (…when in Rome ;))

Your dream, wish, inspiration, longing, or knowing is yours and yours alone. Only you can bring it to life.

And that’s where the confusion lies…

You need to give up trying to find joy and allow joy to guide you.

“Nothing is more honest than a dream.”
~ Federico Fellini

When you approach life in new ways and from a different perspective, it has to respond in kind.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. You came here to love your life. Only you stand in your way.

If you’re not living the life you want, you need to do things differently, think different thoughts, and make choices you’ve been resisting, all of which are easier and faster when you have a guide who knows the way. Otherwise, you’d already be where you want to go.

Happiness awaits those who say Yes to their heart.

It’s your time, and it’s your turn.
