Ever feel like you’re juggling a lot of balls, trying to keep them all up in the air and in motion yet worried about dropping one (or more) — and that if you do drop one, it will be the most important one?
But which IS the most important one?
It’s hard to prioritize when everything feels like a priority.
But here’s the thing…
When you’re juggling a number of tasks and to-do’s, YOUR needs aren’t usually one of the balls you’re juggling.
Stress leads to overwhelm and still you ignore how you feel and keep on juggling, juggling, jugging.
Does that sound familiar?
In times like this, it’s important to pause. Take a few deep breaths and try to see things from a different perspective — like you’re removed from the situation and watching yourself from above or like you’re watching a movie of your life.
What really IS the most important ball to focus on?
If all the other balls had to be put down, what would happen (really)?
If all the other balls are making you crazy, lose sleep or wish for something else, what does that tell you?
I believe we’re meant to be happy and yet we often keep ourselves from happiness in an attempt to keep others happy. We think: My turn will come once I’m through this. (Whatever “this” is at this moment.)
Let me ask you this…
If YOUR happiness was your priority — and I mean REAL happiness, like your heart is SUPER happy — how many balls would you put down right now?
The Game of Life is not just a board game. It’s a game where you either make the rules or choose to follow someone else’s.
What if your rules stated, “The object of this game is to be heartfully happy”? What would change for you?
Guess what? It’s possible.
Now about those balls you’re juggling…
Toss a few to other people and go have more fun!
Make heartful happiness your priority today and every day. (Let the others play their own game.)
