Today marks 3 YEARS since I began living my lifelong dream of traveling indefinitely and without a plan except to follow my heart and the guidance of my Soul.

So far, I’ve visited 19 different countries and called 164 cities or towns home while day-tripping to many more.
Some countries I’ve returned to multiple times. England, with its charming countryside and rich history; Italy, with its delicious cuisine and stunning art; Switzerland, with its breathtaking landscapes; and France, with its romantic allure, feel more familiar whenever I return to explore a new area or revisit a favourite. Experiencing places like Bhutan, with its serene monasteries and lush valleys, New Zealand, with its dramatic landscapes and Maori culture, and San Marino, with its medieval charm, satisfied years of curiosity and wonderment. I’ve checked off bucket-list items while adding more to the list. And I’ve enjoyed sharing a few weeks here and there with some family members and friends who have joined me along the way.
My accommodations have ranged from a simple, tiny house high on a hill of a sheep farm to a multi-million dollar condo and everything in between. Whether staying 1 night or 3 months, everywhere has brought me so much joy because it’s where my heart wants to be.
The people I’ve met, the cultures I’ve experienced, the food I’ve tasted, the scenery I’ve been immersed in, and the art I’ve absorbed have all helped shape who I am now.
While it can be tiring moving from place to place, living out of a suitcase, and not knowing where I’m heading next often until a few days before I set off again, the life I’ve chosen is freeing, fulfilling, and uplifting, because I’m living in alignment with my heart.
I’m not the same person who said Yes to this dream. What once seemed improbable, if not impossible, is now my day-to-day life.
I don’t know exactly where I’m going next or how long I’ll lead a nomadic life, but what I do know is I don’t have to know. If I listen to my heart and trust my Soul, my life will continue to be filled with joyful experiences.
The same can be true for you, whatever your dream is.
