What has playing small cost you?

Before you answer, let’s consider what it means to ‘play small.’

Playing small means hiding pieces of yourself to try to fit in.

To lessen yourself so another can feel better about themself.

To let a lack of confidence hold you back from what you really want.

To let fears run your life instead of taking chances and learning and growing along the way.

If you’re a woman, you likely play small in ways you’re not even aware of. Here’s a good example of what I mean:

Life is hard when you spend your life trying to be who you think you’re supposed to be instead of allowing yourself to be who you’re meant to be — who you really are.

Take a moment and feel the freedom and joy that would come from letting go of trying so hard.

Because the hard part IS the trying.

When you stop dimming your light and, instead, accept and embrace your gifts and beauty; the love that’s in your heart; your true nature and natural talents; your humour, joy, and unique point of view; your gentleness AND your ferocity — each and every part of YOU — you stop playing small.

You stand in your power.

You feel GREAT because you’re letting your greatness shine.

When you know and love who you are, you’re confident, strong, clear, and filled with unabashed joy — without trying.

You’re free to be YOU.

GREAT.

Imagine how great that would feel. Pretty great, right?

So, what has playing small cost YOU in YOUR life?

What would the rewards be if you accepted your innate greatness even a little bit more?
Then a bit more, still?
