I’ve been thinking a lot recently about all the many ways guidance shows up for us in our lives.

Friends and colleagues offering advice and help.
An email or book that finds you at just the right time.
An inspiration or intuitive nudge that opens you to new possibilities or steers you away from potential danger.
Unseen assistance when something seemingly miraculous happens and you felt something bigger was at play.

I remember one sunny winter morning when I was driving my (then young) children to school. We hit a patch of black ice and our mini van fishtailed three times and began to slide across three lanes of a major roadway, slowly turning as we slid until we came to a full stop on the shoulder on the opposite side of the road. We were now facing directly south when we had been travelling north.

It all happened so fast, but I remember feeling very calm. I loosened my grip on the steering wheel, lifted my foot off the pedal and let it play out. I felt a trust that we would be okay. And we were. It all unfolded in a moment when there was a break in the steady traffic going in both directions. Had we stopped only a few feet ahead and slid even slightly beyond the shoulder, we would have toppled sideways into a deep ditch. It felt like something unseen had intervened. I took a deep breath and said, “Thank you, Grandma.”

We continued the school run taking a different route based on the direction we had just been placed. Why tempt fate? My son, who must have been looking down and missed the entire thing, innocently asked, “Why are we going this way?” “Because we’re meant to,” I replied.

Have you ever had an experience where your heart’s voice, your intuition, someone in particular or something ordinary or extraordinary made you change direction, or even do a 180° turn, and it put you on a different, better path?

This week, I invite you to watch for the many ways guidance shows up for you. Each is a gift meant just for you. The question is, are you willing to receive them?

As always, I’m here for you. Here are three ways we can work together.
