Being heartfully happy means living in alignment with your heart. Because when your heart is content, so are you.

By “content,” I don’t mean complacent. I don’t mean settling for the way things are and accepting that the choices you’ve made mean you need to suck it up, get over yourself and be grateful for what you have, like it or not.

I mean content, as in ‘at peace’. Balanced. Satisfied. Fulfilled. Happy. Happy where you are and with whom you’re with (or not with), and you don’t long to be anywhere else.

It took me a long time to get to this place, and now that I’m here, I know it’s possible for you, too.

It’s a step-by-step process of letting go of what doesn’t serve you, allowing better to come in, believing it’s possible, that you deserve it, and trusting it can be true.

For instance, I used to be a planner, organizing (in an attempt to control) everything and everyone. Now my plans are heart-driven and soul-lead. They change regularly and I trust the flow.

When I arrived in Portugal at the end of December, I thought I’d spend three months there, but my heart had another, better idea. So after two months enjoying endless sunshine, mild temperatures, and inspiring architecture (I’m pictured above at the Aqueduct of Pegões in Tomar), and marvelling at all the street art (I mean, almost every house is covered in beautiful tiles), I was feeling it was time to move on. So I did.

I’m now in Ireland. As I write this, I have four weeks roughly planned out. The fifth is feeling ‘sticky’ so I’m letting it evolve and, at the moment, it’s taking a form my wanting-to-take-over-and-plan-every-detail brain didn’t see coming. I’m trusting the unfolding and will follow the flow.

What I’ve learned after six months on this entirely heart-led journey is that heartful happiness is possible, and it may not look like you thought it would. It can look and feel even better, if you allow it to.

Open your heart. Hear its whispers. Embrace your vision.

I’m here for you if you’d like some help.
