Part of what I love most about this journey I’m on are the serendipities that continue to unfold, including the people I meet along the way.
This past week, I had dinner with a fellow solo-traveller. At first we shared travel stories, and then the conversation got deeper and we discovered how much alike we are. (Meetings don’t happen by chance.)
During our conversation, he told me about a practice he learned on a course a few years back. It was about choosing your ABC’s.
Your ABC’s, he said, are the guiding principles for your life — 3 of them. One is to start with the letter A, one with the letter B, and the third, with the letter C.
These are the back-to-basics, important things you want to focus on in your life and/or business, in a format that’s easy to remember.
Something about this intrigued me and it’s been swirling around in my being and my mind ever since. “What are my ABC’s?”, I’ve been wondering.
For A, I’ve been feeling out words like, appreciation, acceptance, and abundance. All feel good but this feels like a living question; a question that needs to simmer for a while before the answer fully formulates, reveals itself, and feels complete.
I invite you to let this be a living question for you, too.
What are your ABC’s — the words that will remind you of the fundamental principles you want to guide your choices and life?
P.S. He chose to add a D to his list too. Guiding principles don’t have a limit. 😉
If you’d like some help living fully into your ABC’s, I’m here for you.
