One of the things I love most about traveling is the continual invitation to follow my curiosity. It’s one way that’s helped me reconnect with who I really am versus who I thought I should be.
Each of us has learned to be who we are. Along the way we sacrificed little bits of ourselves and let go of things that brought us joy because, for one reason or another, growing up required that of us.
Remember when you used to be fascinated by the simplest of things, like a caterpillar on a leaf? You examined how its body moved, or watched closely as a bee collected pollen on its furry little legs.
Following your curiosity brings you into the present moment.
It takes you out of your head where endless thoughts and worries seem to envelop your life — the to-do list that never seems to get ta-done.
It gives your thinking mind a break and allows your subconscious to search for creative solutions so it can present those eureka moments when the perfect idea pops into your head. You don’t get those while under pressure and stress.
Following your curiosity is one way your inner child speaks to you.
One thing I know for sure, the more you follow your curiosities the more interesting and enjoyable a day becomes.
Here’s a delightful surprise I found this past weekend simply because I let my curiosity lead the way …and my inner child was overjoyed!! (Gotta admit, my adult-self loved it too!) Check it out…
Following your curiosity is exciting and inspiring. It uplifts your spirit and re-energizes you so you can tackle your to-do’s with a fresh perspective and renewed focus. And it’s just one of the things we’ll be practicing in my NEW course, Let Your Inner Child Out To Play. We start Feb. 28, 2022. Details are here.
Where might your curiosity lead you today? You might be delightfully surprised, too!
Following your curiosity is just one way to connect with your inner child and your innate capacity for joy. Learn more about the upcoming program here.
